Mixing Instructions

  • Mix Ratio:
    • Weight: 4.3 parts resin to 1 part hardener.
    • Volume: 3.0 parts resin to 1 part hardener.
  • Mixing Process:
    • Combine hardener with resin thoroughly for about 4 minutes until a uniform consistency is achieved. Ensure material is mixed from the bottom and sides of the container.

Application Guidelines

  • Temperature for Application: Ideal at room temperature (13°C to 32°C).
  • Application Method: Spread over prepared surfaces using an applicator or putty knife. Press firmly to ensure maximum contact and avoid air entrapment.
  • Bridging Gaps: Use fiberglass or mechanical fasteners for large gaps.

Machining Instructions

  • Curing Time: Minimum of 4 hours before machining.
  • Machining Timing: Best if machined immediately after curing.
  • Machining Guidelines:
    • Lathe Speed: 150 ft/minute.
    • Tools: Carbide or high-speed steel bits.
    • Feed Rates: Rough cuts at .020 cut/rev; finishing cuts at .010 cut/rev.

Cure Information

  • Working Time: Approximately 21 minutes at 24°C.
  • Cure Rate: 75% functional cure in 16 hours at 24°C.
  • Immersion in Chemicals: Sections can be immersed in chemicals after 24 hours of cure.
  • Heat Cure Option: For enhanced properties, heat cure at 200°F for 4 hours after initial room temperature cure.
